Coastal cooking, four stories deep in Dallas
The Hampton Social imported a full seaside resort’s worth of dining into downtown Dallas: raw-bar freshness, lobster in multiple guises and a rosé list long enough to need its own bookmark. Behind the famous neon sign is a kitchen that takes coastal American cooking more seriously than the beach-club styling suggests.
The concept
The brand comes from Parker Hospitality, the Chicago group founded by Brad Parker, which grew the Hamptons-inspired concept across several states before choosing Dallas for its Texas debut. The downtown location took over a landmark corner near Pegasus Plaza and rebuilt it into a sprawling, multi-level ode to coastal living — anchored by the signature “Rosé All Day” philosophy.
What to order
The lobster roll is the calling card, with the truffle lobster melt and its cup of bisque as the richer alternative. Coopers Beach calamari arrives crisp with tempura vegetables and lemon-garlic aioli, the crispy Brussels sprouts with goat cheese have earned their following, and tuna tartare, shrimp tacos and coastal pizzas widen the net. At brunch the Double Wagyu Smashburger headlines. Drink-wise: more than a dozen rosés by the glass, plus the Hampton Frosé — frozen rosé with vodka and peach.
The space
Four stories and a small ocean of square footage: bright dining rooms in whites and driftwood tones, a 360-degree bar, outdoor seating and a rooftop with skyline views. The nautical-chic detailing makes the room feel like a vacation without leaving downtown.
Who it’s for
Seafood lovers marooned in a landlocked city, rosé enthusiasts, brunch groups and anyone who wants resort energy without an airport.
Good to know
What is the must-try dish? The lobster roll, chased with the Hampton Frosé.
Is there rooftop seating? Yes — one of several levels, with views over downtown.
Do they serve brunch? Yes, on weekends, and it is among the buzziest downtown.
How big is the rosé selection? More than a dozen by the glass, plus rosé-based cocktails.
Should I reserve? For weekend brunch and dinner, absolutely; the space is huge but demand matches it.
