Theater in Dallas began to flourish in the middle of the last century. Modern Dallas theater is closely associated with Margo Jones, who in 1947 founded one of the first professional regional theaters \u2014 Theatre \u201947. She was among the pioneers who helped shape and popularize the American regional theater movement and trained a generation of prominent playwrights and actors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1959, the Dallas Theater Center opened its doors. The building was designed by the legendary Frank Lloyd Wright, whose contribution to the city\u2019s cultural landscape remains invaluable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
